A story of passion and loyalty to the value of uniqueness

Vetriceramici was founded in December 1987 in Casola Valsenio, close to the Regional Park of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola. The historical logo of the company depicted the first melting furnaces, which we like to call our “burning heart”: an industrial heritage designed by the skilled hands of the company’s founders, based on exclusive and therefore unique designs. This uniqueness still allows us to create customized products in small quantities, by processing raw materials through non-serial processes.
The founders’ dream was to create something that didn’t exist yet: an established brand in the market with the ability to create completely new solutions for ceramics. Annual growth of 15% demonstrates that the dream is becoming increasingly true, making Vetriceramici an interesting player in the market. For the first time, a world-class multinational enters the ceramic scene of Sassuolo.

A century-old company, founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1918, with 75 plants worldwide.

In 2014, the acquisition of Vetriceramici was signed, marking a fundamental transformation.

It was the beginning of a new ambitious journey that elevated the brand higher and higher, in synergy with various brand that merged into a single entity.

Thus, a complex company emerged, enriched by a mix of a very different cultures and knowledge, but with a strong sense of resilience in preserving its values.

In 2021, the latest acquisition took place, and once again, Vetriceramici demonstrated the ability to embrace change without losing its identity, but rather evolving it in relation to new opportunities. This marked the beginning of a rebranding journey, which is also a desire to evoke the energy of a long experience, making tradition a stimulus towards new frontiers, without ever being a limitation imposed by habit.

Casola Valsenio:

The uniqueness of Vetriceramici is rooted in its origins in Casola Valsenio.

In the valley crossed by the Senio river, on the edge of the Regional Park of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola, just steps from the Valsenio Abbey, lies the site that encompasses the brand’s production tradition, demonstrating an approach of technological innovation with a focus on sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

The facilities have been harmoniously adapted to the social and economic context of the area, becoming a valued element integrated with the surrounding nature and agricultural activities.

Structures and Technologies

The total area of the site is over 25,000 square meters and includes two main plants, accompanied by a series of warehouses. In the plants, the furnaces, the burning heart of Casola’s production, are constantly active, engaged in continuous processing cycles that only stop during scheduled maintenance periods.
These are melting furnaces and granulators designed internally by the company, based on exclusive and therefore unique designs, a true industrial heritage of Vetriceramici. Born from a deep understanding of the processes, they originated from the initial ideas that were subsequently improved to their current configuration. A true blend of technology and experience.
The size of the site and the uniqueness of the facilities allow for considerable flexibility in production, capable of adapting to the varied requests of customers. At every stage, there is careful quality control, ensured by the most advances equipment in the industry. Today, the plants in Casola Valsenio stand as the culmination of a technological evolution that has maintained a focus on the product.

New Frontiers

An important process of internationalization has led the creation of a production plant in Mexico, in the area of Monterrey, followed by the opening of the first commercial plant in the United States, in the Ceramic Valley of Tennessee. Therefore, the attention to the innovation needs of customers continues to be a distinctive mark of Vetriceramici, both in Italy and abroad, confirming the desire to present itself as an experienced partner that can offer innovative services and tools for ceramic surfaces.
