THAT’S WHY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT CAVE DESIGN…
With the term Cave Design, literally “Il Design della Cava” we mean the projects which are made inside caves with well-defined characteristics:
- These are projects that aim to emphasize the natural appearance of the stone
- In most of which the stone is exposed and decorates the walls
There are no combinations of multiple materials but rather the exaltation of the same which, depending on the use, are presented with different finishes. The Cave Design finds its maximum expression in the stones of Matera, where the interiors are really obtained from the excavation in the rocks.
In our presentation which focused on the finish, the Cave design is represented from the type of stones we have decided to introduce and their surfaces. The projects that in fact fall into this Trend are materials that have very contrasting and strong graphics that we will show in an outdoor presentation; reinforcing another important today’s trend “The functional finishes for outdoor”. When we talk about functional surfaces we mean surfaces which in addition to having an aesthetic value are also suitable to be used for specific uses such as outdoor, anti-slip, anti-scratch, resistance over time and anti-freeze.
