Whitening pigments are materials aiming at whitening porcelain stoneware bodies in order to enhance their technical and aesthetic features. They are designed by mixing raw materials with whitening ceramic frits.

WHITENING ADDITIVES
These are compounds manufactured in our plants through raw materials mixing. The most important of these ingredients are zircon silicate and alumina. The advantage of this series are recipes that do not modify linear shrinkage and firing properties of the tile body where the whitening material is included.

BODY FRITS’ recipes are devised to whiten the body through the formation of the appropriate mineralogical phases . We can count on a wide range of those frits to suit any need. They may be used in recipe design for porcelain stoneware bodies: being synthetic materials they display optimal composition stability and allow for a steady and consistent supply. They are usually cheaper than ordinary whiteners and display high-performance results, with a clean shade and translucent appearance.
